Truepic Vision is a virtual inspection solution that simplifies how businesses manage inspections, surveys, and audits through verified digital media. It lets you request, capture, and review authentic photos and videos remotely, bypassing costly, time-consuming on-site visits.

You can implement Truepic Vision within your workflow so that you can administer virtual inspections with the process you desire. This guide will help you choose the best approach for your situation, whether starting quickly with an out-of-the-box set-up or customizing the implementation to fit with your existing tools.

Truepic Vision interfaces overview

Truepic Vision has two primary interfaces, each with different implementation options:

  • Where your customers complete inspections: This is where your customers access the inspection workflow. By making this as frictionless as possible, your customers can complete inspection requests promptly, with minimal effort.
  • Where organization users request, manage, and review inspections: This is where your staff will initiate and review the inspection that your customers performed. Carefully designing this workflow makes it easy for your team to adopt virtual inspections without adding additional work or slowing down your process.

Implementation options

Below is an overview of the different implementation options for each interface.

For your customers to complete inspections:

1. Truepic Vision mobile or web app

Truepic Vision offers out-of-the-box iOS and Android mobile apps and mobile browser apps for organizations that want to start quickly. Your customers receive inspection requests through an email or text message instructing them to access the app. The app is branded to your organization, and the emails and text messages to your customers are customizable.

This option requires no technical resources.

2. Your own mobile app

Organizations with a mobile app can embed Truepic Vision into their own app. Your customers can complete the inspection in the app that they already use - or it prompts them to finally download your app.  Additionally, this option gives you control over your customer's journey—you can choose the exact point for customers to start inspections. Truepic Vision can be branded to your colors, logo and font so that you can offer a consistent experience within your app.

This option requires technical resources and can be set up in less than two weeks. Details are documented here.

For your organization users to request, manage, and review inspections

1. Truepic Vision Web Dashboard

With the Truepic Vision Dashboard, your staff can manage and review inspections in one place. Within the Dashboard, you can configure the kinds of inspections to send to your customers. This includes whether customers receive the request through text or email, the wording of those messages, and the checklist that they see when performing the inspection.

This option can be set up with no technical resources.

 2. An existing system like a LOS or CRM

For organizations that want to customize how inspections are sent, managed, and reviewed, Truepic provides a comprehensive API to integrate into your own information system. An API integration provides you with complete control over your workflow so you can build processes that are tailored to your business needs. For example, you may programmatically send your customers an inspection request as soon as they complete a form on your website, or your staff can trigger an inspection from within your CRM.

This option requires technical resources. Depending on your goals, implementation takes a few weeks to months, with common timelines documented here.
